First Starbucks in the U.S. With AT&T WiFi Now Live in San Antonio
The first Starbucks in the U.S. with AT&T WiFi is now live and it works.
Located at 5321 Broadway Road San Antonio, TX 78209, this the first of what is supposed to be 7,000 company-operated Starbucks locations that will offer this service.
Free To U-verse Customers
Because I am an AT&T U-verse customer, I now have free WiFi at Starbucks (and McDonald's and Barnes & Noble.)
Logged On. Gave My AT&T User Name & Password and...it worked.
When I was at the Starbucks store this afternoon, there were both AT&T and Starbucks employees doing the final install.
I walked in, logged on, and presto it worked.
More, later.
Reporters can call me on my cell: 210-410-3075 anytime up until midnight CST.
Google me here or here or here.
See my YouTube Video on AT&T's U-verse Guide here.

What about us that have been using T-Mobile at Borders?

I was at a starbucks in Burleson, Texas, I was able to use the wireless. The default page was a t-mobile page, but in the upper right hand corner there was a link for AT&T customers. I clicked it and logged in and had free wireless. I don't have UVerse, just the AT&T DSL.

I was wondering if you could help us out by testing Whisher at this Starbucks - we have a roaming agreement with AT&T through WeRoam, but we haven't been able to confirm if the new Starbucks deal is included. If you email me I can send you a WiFi Out credit voucher to test with.
Thanks for the report!

Since I am a U-verse customer and you stated that Wi-Fi is free for U-verse customers, do I log in with my att.net email and the password associated with it?

I was wondering if my AT&T Wireless account would work here at the Starbucks here in Napa, CA. I thought it would take a while to get to us, but - it worked! Very cool.
Sooo, Mr. Three Screens guy - any idea how to find out when U-Verse will be available here in Napa?
Thanks!
