« AT&T U-verse Total Home DVR Launches; HomePNA Enables Home Networking. What's Next: The G.hn Standard (think gigabit per second rates on coax, powerline and phone wires) | Main | And....One More Video Demo of AT&T's Total Home DVR »

Here's A Better Video of AT&T's Total Home DVR

OK, so this video is from AT&T, but Larry Meyers is a good guy and the video is not in the traditional corporate mode from a gigantic telecom company.  Also, go to the HomePNA site to learn more about Home Networking.  This is the standard that AT&T has adopted.  On the horizon? G.hn.

      The video highlights....

      1.  Time Shifting:  pause a program in one room and watch in another room.

      2.  Time / Place Shifting:  watch the same show at different points in another room on a different TV

      3.  Avoiding World War III when everyone comes home from work and school:  since you can record up to four shows at once, what happens when Mom, Dad, and the kids come home and all want to watch whatever they have respectively recorded?  No problem.  You can playback up to four shows on four different TVs.  So, everyone head to the fridge and then to your room!
