Announcing the launch of pulverTV: The First 100% "Indie Internet TV" Channel

Picture_3 Jeff Pulver is at it again:  he's just announced the formal launch of pulverTV, his new 24/7 "Indie Internet TV Channel."

At pulverTV, each week he is taking on the task of creating 12-14 hours of his own original programming

In addition to his own shows, he's been working with over 40 producers of independently created Internet TV shows across a variety of genres and has  included the shows from these producers in the daily program schedule.

I've been watching Jeff's shows regularly, and I suggested you "tune in" real time, even though you can watch it when it is "recorded."

Another thing I do at work, is just listen to the audio and when something or someone really cool or interesting is doing something visual, I will take a break from work and watch the video portion.

Either way, I highly recommend checking into this type of video programming.

Good luck to Jeff and his crew!

Social Business Class Presentation Sums Up The Right Tools For the Right Job

I am a big fan of Chris Brogan's blog, where he writes mostly about principles of social media.  I met Chris through Jeff Pulver, got a chance to work with him on Network2.tv for a while, and in the process, started seeing him as my social media mentor.

A couple of days ago, he did a post which was really short Podcast called Social Business Class which you can listen to here. I simply took his words, turned them into a presentation, asked Chris for his permission to publish it, and he said "yes."  Here it is....and here is Chris' post about what I did below.

Using FaceBook for Speedier Email and Messaging

Jeff Pulver recently had a post in his blog where he said that if you were trying to reach him, do so by FaceBook.Dsc_8973

    FaceBook?

Yes, send Jeff an email through FaceBook.

I am now finding myself doing the same.  I did not "get it" until I realized that in my small world that I travel in, its easier to communicate with very specific people I want to reach if I do so via FaceBook than through traditional email.

Look for me on FaceBook and send me an email.

    Just give it a try....

Yes, I Am On FaceBook. (Thank You Chris Brogan)

I never thought I would do this, but I am now on Facebook.
    Picture_1_2

I have to credit blogging pal, Chris Brogan for this and I thank you Chris.

In the time I spent with Chris working on  Network2.tv, he never knew this but in the process of working with him, he actually became a virtual social media mentor to me.

If you make it a habit of reading Chris Brogan's blog on a daily basis, you will not only learn about social media and community building, but you will get a daily dose of inspiration on work, wealth, family, taking care of yourself, oh- and yes, social media and community building.

While I am testing Facebook as a way to develop new business and expand my business horizons, I was pretty surprised of people that I knew or have met in my past that were also on this social media platform.

If you are on Facebook, and want to be my "friend," I would love to hear from you.   And by the way, like Jeff Pulver, I decided to belong the Israel network and not a local network in San Antonio where I reside.

I "live" here, but most of my business life, several family members, and many friends live there.

I consider Israel very much my home and Facebook brings me that much closer to those I work with and consider my friends.

    Jerusalem Rocks! (Literally)

Jrocks I am still getting back into the swing of things from our family's 17 - day adventure to London, Moscow, London (again) Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and London (again).

Every time I travel to Israel, I am still in awe of Jerusalem, especially at night.  (see my photos of Jerusalem on Flickr.)

There is something there with the confluence of various religious ideals, spiritually, and in my world, a center for technology and innovation.

My friend Jeff Pulver, is raising the bar (yet again) with his collective enthusiasm for music, technology and Israel by helping to sponsor Jerusalem ROCKS! - a not-for-profit music festival that he's been working on with Jacob Ner-David and Carmi Wurtman which will be taking place on September 9th at Teddy Stadium in Jerusalem.

Jeff is the only person I know who can put together a major industry tradeshow, VON, which is highlighted with a huge party featuring either a great band, or his own house band, the Herding Cats

Two years ago, I had the opportunity to work with Jeff in organizing the VoIP Mission to Israel.

Working is Jeff is pure fun, pure energy, and in the end, something that helps bring forward a mission or a cause that brings about awareness and positive energy.

Be it IP Communications or music, Jeff has boundless energy and imagination that brings together collective intelligence, a bit of disruption, for a common good.

Jerusalem ROCKS! is focused on bringing international musical events back to Jerusalem. The people of Jerusalem have been waiting over twenty years for an event like this and we feel that it is important for Jerusalem to remind its citizens, neighbors and the world that it is a center of pluralism and cultural diversity.

Read Jeff's post on his blog today to learn more about this important cultural and musical event.

Kudo's to Jeff and his collaborators for putting this type of event on in such an amazing locale.
