Israel Venture Association Conference Starts June 11

The Israel Venture Association's annual conference starts June 11.  You may view the program agenda here.

I was supposed to go, but I just returned from Israel last week, visiting new client, N-trig.  I will be back in Israel the week of July 8 for my own PR / Social Media Seminar that is sponsored by BusinessWire.

One of the most telling illustrations of Israel's technology sector is the number of publicly held companies that now rank #3 in the world behind the U.S. and Canada.  The chart below may be viewed online via D&A Information's site.

For those of you from out of town (and especially those from Israel) who read my blog, I often have to remind people that San Antonio has a very vibrant and growing technology economy.

Over the weekend  San Antonio Express-News' columnist, David Hendricks wrote a very good story on the transition SATAI (San Antonio Technology Accelerator Initiative) is making in its focus to bring in more VC money to town.

I will be will meeting with SATAI President, Jim Pogue later this week at the Olmos Park Pharmacy for breakfast where I will be doing his profile in an upcoming post for my other blog, www.satechblog.com.
